Paraffin is derived from petroleum.It is relatively brittle and will flake when used alone for batik; therefore, it is commonly mixed with Microcrystalline Wax.It can also be used for cleaning brushes in encaustic.It comes in easy-to-measure pellets.Use in a well-ventilated area.Melting point: 127-135F/52.8-57.2C.
